Andrew Wright, co-founded and CEO of Grasshopr, will discuss his new venture. From the Web site: Grasshopr combines innovative grassroots advocacy technology with a social networking platform to power member communications and grassroots advocacy campaigns. For organizations, Grasshopr serves as a light CRM tool – a living, breathing database where your members can communicate and get involved.

Grassroots database and advocacy technology has been around for a long time, but it has remained cost-prohibitive for a vast majority of organizations – until now. To conduct an effective grassroots campaign, an organization needed both lots of money and members to be successful. And if you had a whole lot of money, even members weren’t required, leading to unethical “astroturf” campaigns.

We know that there are thousands of organizations that don’t have big budgets (or any budget), and their voices are getting crowded out. But what these organizations do have is passionate members who care about their issues. Our mission with Grasshopr is to provide a solution for these organizations to supercharge their most valuable assets: Their People.

There's life. There's magic. There's unicorn magic. There's Robocop riding on a unicorn magic. This was better.
