From the Woods to the Beach

Uh ohhhhh! It’s time for the most off the chain hike of the summer. On July 12th please wake up early so you can meet The Black Nature Crew at Muir Woods in Mill Valley for 9:00am. We will be taking in the sights of gorgeous redwoods, hiking uphill and downhill, admiring a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean, and finally chilling at Stinson Beach. After we hang out at the beach we will then hike back to Muir Woods. It is guaranteed to be a day that you will never forget. Muir Woods is one of the top tourist destinations in the state of California so if you have never been then you should definitely come rock it with us.

Regarding the Trail

As much as I would love to invite everyone I have to be honest—this hike ain’t no punk. It’s 5 miles and the beginning is an ascent up a mountain until we get to the peak and then it’s all down hill from there. I would not classify this hike as brutal, however, if you are completely out of shape, or scared of heights, or don’t like to sweat, or you hate trees, then please either sit this one out or just meet us at the beach. For those who are coming you should bring a backpack with water, food to nibble on while we hike (preferably enough to share with a few others), a bag lunch or money to purchase lunch, and anything that you think you may need for the beach. Oh yes and please get there early if possible because the parking situation at Muir Woods is NUTS!

See y’all there. I’m hyped!
