Attend Biocurious event online

Hey all: This looks like a great event for us to join in. Even though the event is happening down in Menlo Park, it can be attended online. The website for the online meeting should be announced shortly.

Please join Biocurious and RSVP at this page! Interesting discussion already started:

See you online!
***************
Biocurious is hosting onsite a Brainstorm Session with Enviu - Toxic Metal Challenge

They are hosting a brainstorm session with Enviu from the Netherlands, who will be joining us online along with other DIY Bio networks.

Enviu starts world changing companies and believes in the power of the crowd to co-create innovative business ideas and solutions for social and ecological issues. Their work can be found online.

This brainstorm session will generate ideas for a test kit to screen methyl mercury in the human body as part the Toxic Metal Challenge.

The Toxic Metal Challenge is one of Enviu’s current projects. In conjunction with Clear Light Ventures, they are challenging experts, students, entrepeneurs, and anyone with a good idea (like you) to come up with business concepts for an affordable and easy to use test kit to screen methyl mercury in the human body. You can read more about the issue of heavy metal poisoning and the relevance for such a test kit on the website.

The winner of the challenge wins $2500 and a possible investment by Clear Light Ventures to develop the business concept into a prototype.

    Hi all,

I'm wondering how you are doing and if you enjoyed the webinar with Biocurious? There is still 1 week to go before the deadline to submit a business concept in the Toxic Metal Challenge! Are you planning to submit one? And can I help you with anything? The format for the concept can be found here: http://toxicmetalchallenge.com/challenge/concepts/new

As Peter Sullivan of Clear Light Ventures suggested during the webinar: you can contact or visit him if you want and ask him all the questions you have about the business concept! Hope to see some great input from you!
    Best,
    Fransje and Peter

    Hey all,
For everyone attending the meeting online, please make sure to register yourself as a member at the Toxic Metal Challenge:
    www.toxicmetalchallenge.com
This way the organizer can send the invites for online attending to everyone at once (multiple hackspaces, organizations, businesses, and individuals are attending), and so we are visible to the other attendees!

I just saw this comment of yours. (Odd, I didn't receive an e-mail or app notification for this.)

Hi Michael, it is the first time I'm joining the group. Where exactly is the room for the meeting?
    Thanks, see you later
