We’re starting a social innovation meetup in partnership with ideo.org as an OpenIDEO Chapter (https://challenges.openideo.com/content/chapters). Make a difference in your community. By launching and supporting impactful events or projects, you'll help bring positive change into your community.
OpenIDEO Chapters are a network of local volunteers that are building creative confidence and using human-centered design to solve social and environmental challenges specific to their communities. Together, these groups support impactful events and projects.
We start as an Outpost and so long as we’re doing meaningful work and gain traction, we apply to become a Chapter next year.
OpenIDEO Outposts are a lighter version of our Chapters program. It allows anyone, anywhere to be a part of creating an impact with OpenIDEO in your local community. It's simple: bring people together around a Challenge topic or rally around a local cause in your community.
For this first meeting, we’ll be introducing IDEO, OpenIDEO, Human Centered Design, and a quick vision for the upcoming year.
What to bring:
You'll probably want a laptop & anything else that helps you create! If you have specific project ideas, bring them with you, but be ready to work on whatever might come out of our
We also plan things, ask/answer questions, and discuss projects using Slack channel #localbrainstormIDEO.
