Hack Night
Details
It has been a while since we did much hands on, and November looks like a good month to just do some civic hacking.
Brett will be out of town, so someone else needs to host. The location could change too depending on what works for whoever hosts.
Things we can work on:
• Add more to the wiki
• Budget visualization with new St Louis County budget data (https://www.google.com/fusiontables/DataSource?docid=19OsBTSHngSZFva4ExLOVKpay0x4VeF5qZ-eNmYk#rows:id=1) or maybe scanning City budgets to produce the same dataset?
• St Louis City Crime data - Brett got all the CSVs extracted and geocoded. Sets need some cleanup and a hosting location.
• OpenStreetMap - Finish up editing from #editathon and work on Battlegrid (http://maproulette.org/battlegrid/#10/38.5702/-90.3117)
• Transit: Transit group is making big progress and might have some refinements to work on
• Work on other ideas from CfA Commons (http://commons.codeforamerica.org/) or CfA Brigade Applications (http://brigade.codeforamerica.org/applications)
