Using your (newly found) talents for good: hack4good Berlin

Disclaimer: This event notice is not about an OpenTechSchool workshop but organized by one of our organizers. Basic coding skills are needed in order to participate but even if you just started as a "Junior developer" you are welcome!

Dear learners, coaches, co-organizers,

If you are a developer you probably attended your fair share of hackathons in your life. While such activities are fun and a good way to try out that one new language or framework often enough the results become code zombies in some repository and won't be looked at ever again. And that's fine for such experiments.

But what if you could create something over a weekend that actually makes a difference in the world, something that helps a non-profit organization around the corner or on the other side of the planet? That's the idea behind the Geeklist Corps of Developers and the hack 4 good series. The immunity project fighting HIV, the UNESCO and many other non-profits are already on board.

The next global event is up next weekend with a 48 hrs. hackathon starting on Feb 7, 7pm until Feb 9, 7pm. The Berlin event will be hosted at hub:raum and is of course free to attend.

Join me in making this world a better place with our developer skills.

Thank you for your attention and hope to see you this weekend!
