Live Webcast: Intro to the HTML5 SproutCore Framework
One of the hottest frameworks available today is SproutCore. It’s a developer’s dream, going beyond standard drop-in helper frameworks to bring desktop-calibur development to the web space. It provides cross-platform HTML5 widgets, a clean MVC architecture, tremendous scalability, blazing fast speeds and top notch theming – everything you expect in native development, now on the web. And it’s not just great for developers: businesses will get to deliver impressive desktop-calibur experiences while leverage the extant value of open-source. Oh yeah, and it doesn’t hurt that Apple Inc. uses it for its web application offerings, and is a major contributor to the code base. During this webcast we will cover several key SproutCore Concepts including: SproutCore's backstory and future direction; Why businesses should choose Sproutcore; Why developers will love working with SproutCore; What SproutCore brings to the user experience; and, Features and fuctionalities, both in development and for the end user. The talk was good, but I can see SproutCore is not something I will use. Nice to find out though.

      Hi Chance,

Some people didn't receive their confirmation emails from us with the login info for the event tomorrow. Thanks for sharing our event with your Meetup group!

Hey folks, sorry for the confusion. I'm the marketing manager at Appnovation. I'm not sure why some people haven't received the confirmation email, but pls message me your emails & I'll send login info over if you're registered.
Also, unfortunately, Tony is correct. GTW uses a similar interface to Webex so those running Linux won't be able to attend the live event. Standard PC & Mac OS users will be fine (I run a MBP on Mountain Lion & I login fine). We will send follow up emails to registrants with links to the recordings and presentation slides afterward. Hope this helps. If you have any further questions just let me know.

I didn't receive a confirmation email. Does anyone have the link to the GoToMeeting.

Update for anyone who is attending, the technology used will be GoToMeeting from Citrix. The presentation will require you to use Windows. If you're running a Mac, Linux or other, you'll need to either find a Windows box or view the recorded presentation later.

Just another note regarding urgency... If this really is an online event, I really need to verify that the event is viewable on my machine ahead of time. So, for instance WebEx is a showstopper for anyone using Linux like myself. I'll either have to find a Windows machine or cancel participation.

Update. This needs to be addressed by the organizer ASAP. I just received a confirmation that suggests an "online" location at the San Diego Firefighters headquarters and lists the time as 7pm UTC instead of local time which I believe could be confusing.

Gee, I hope I'll be getting a confirmation with instructions in an email. It's hard to drive to a place called "online" to attend this event and I don't see anything useful on the webpage confirming my signup.
