Survey Results + Free Ecommerce SEO Guide

Hi Group,

I've attached a link to my latest guide on Ecommerce SEO at the bottom of this message. Below is the tally from the survey we sent out a couple of weeks ago; it's not too late to add your input:

Topics in Order of Priority

  1. Content marketing strategy
  2. Landing page optimization
  3. Advanced technical SEO
  4. Social media for SEO
  5. Brand marketing for SEO (co-citations)
  6. Location-Based (Local) SEO
  7. Link research, link building
  8. Competition intelligence
  9. Video SEO
  10. Image SEO
  11. Public Relations for SEO
  12. Added: Google-provided tools, affiliate marketing and conversion optimization

The question about follow versus nofollow is simple: don't worry about it, go for links that provide traffic and relevancy and insure that your brand name is within the page linking to you (co-occurrence can be just as valuable as a link these days).

Experts You'd Like to Have Present

  1. Danny Sullivan
  2. Neil Patel
  3. Mark Robertson
  4. Warren Whitlock
  5. Frank Lee
  6. Rand Fishkin
  7. Seth Godin (you realize Seth isn't an SEO right?)

Your preference is that our events should be free, but we should encourage donations to cover special guests and refreshments. Sounds good to us.

You're happy with the Digital Media Center. Us too.

Additional Feedback

Many members would like to have a segment of our group to be an SEO clinic where we look at member websites. One member had a specific question about Brand Domination. It's not impossible to beat a brand for a keyword, but it is easier to beat a brand for intent-based, long-tail keywords like "cheapest price on product_name_here" (less traffic, but more revenue).

Your Free Guide on Ecommerce SEO

Here's the guide I promised you at the beginning of this message:

Please feel free to share it as much as you'd like, or if you're an agency, send over a custom page you want added and your logo and I'll white-label it for you.
