Improv 201

  • Sep 5, 2013 · 8:30 PM

Welcome to the next level of improv! This class will discuss and implement advanced improv techniques and try out some of the craziest and wackiest stuff known to man. Expect to come and do anything and everything.

Note: This meetup costs $3 to attend per workshop. This is fairly trivial compared to every other paid class in Orlando, and is only to show some commitment to learning advanced improv. The money from these classes will be put into two things 1) Contributing to our host venue 2) Investing in future shows / performance spaces. I will not be keeping any of this money for myself. Compared to what's currently available, I think this is a rather reasonable request. Please email me if you disagree and I'd love to hear your opinion on the matter. (no sarcasm there.) I'm committed to always offering a free and open workshop for the public. If you're looking for that, check out the Improv 101 workshops!

Note on who can sign up:
In the past it's been ambiguous as to who can come and who can't. Let me be clear then. You can come if you meet any of these criteria.
1. You've taken levels 1-4 at any improv program in America or Canada. This includes Sak, UCB, iO, Groundlings, Second City, Dad's Garage, ETC.
2. You've performed in more than 20 improv shows, ever.
3. You've been coming to class with me and explicitly asked me if you can come, and I've approved it.
4. You've read any 2 of these books: "Truth in Comedy", "Art By Committee", "Guru: My Days with Del Close", "Improvise:Scene from the Inside Out".

Sound fair? Good. See you there!
