What are your concerns as we approach the next 100 years?

Quite a few including: Climate change and not doing enough to head it off, the end of growth limiting stimulus approaches, not being prepared for peak oil, unmanageable debt, inadequate economic systems that act like Ponzi schemes, converging problems like depleting resources and growing pollution, growing natural disasters that nations can't recover from, China's growth slowing based on pollution and a coal bubble, population pressures, existing systems seizing up, reactionary political modes, an unstable Near East, Euro crash and lack of clear plans to change the economic system.

What are your interests in sustainability issues?

Broad interests from a health, ecological, environment to ways of living in "harmony" with nature given who we are as people and what culture we can create (sustainable communities, wise energy use, humanistic principles etc.) what work we need to do to allow this and what innovations will support it.

I’m a Cognitive Psychologist & secular humanist. Broad interests include social philosophy, sustainability &progressive activism, open society, cultural transparency, critical thinking, rational conversation, social philosophy & ecological issues.

What Gary B. is saying about this Meetup Group

A great concept and timely. Should be one of a series with products that get some visibility. "If we teach today as we taught yesterday, we rob our children of tomorrow." John Dewey
