This is a 62 km ride with 58.6 km paved bikeways and 3.4 km hard-packed trails. The route runs west from Burnaby Lake to Breka Bakery on Main St., where we stop for coffee. We next head to False Creek and along Beach Ave. to 2nd Beach, where we stop for lunch. After lunch, we pass through Gastown to Chinatown, where we stop for a few minutes at Pender and Carrall to take in some local history. We next continue east past the PNE and through Burnaby Heights to Kensington Park and back to Burnaby Lake.
Difficulty: Moderate if you have been biking regularly.
Distance: 62 km
Estimated Ride Time: 5.5 hrs.
Bring: snacks/water and Pack a Lunch or buy something along the route.

Please be sure your bike is in good condition, tires are inflated, and brakes are in good working order before arriving at the starting point. Carrying a Repair Kit and an extra inner tube is recommended. To help you be seen and heard on the road, the following equipment is also recommended: a bell, flashing front and back lights or reflectors and a mirror.
