**ADVANCED, FASTER-PACED HIKE!**
** Part of a 3 day hiking weekend. Not necessary to do any of the other days, but here are the descriptions in case you are interested:
Part I: Friday ( November 21, 2025)- Schunnemunk Mountain including the megaliths
Part 2: Saturday (November 22, 2025)- Storm King mountain (Cross-posted with Adventure Junkies: Please sign up with one group, not both!)
Part 3; Sunday (November 23, 2025)- Bear Mountain and Anthony's Nose
Part 2 details:
Storm King State Park is a 1,972-acre state park in the town of Cornwall-On-The-Hudson New York. We plan to climb the central features of this park, Storm King Mountain and Butter Hill on November 22, 2025! Expect magnificant views and challenging climbs!
Points of interest:
• Views over the Hudson River
• Storm King Mountain
• Butter Hill
**While this is anticipated to be a fast-paced hike, please expect some stops to allow the group to regather and enjoy the scenery. Please be mindful of group unity and adjust your pace accordingly.
DISTANCE: 10 miles
PACE: Moderate + (varies throughout hike due to terrain and elevation)
DURATION: 6 hours best estimate
ELEVATION GAIN: ~3300'

Bring:
- Water (at least 3L recommended)
- Electrolytes (Saltstick capsules, Gu, Nuun tablets, Shot Blocks)
- Snacks/Protein bars
- Lunch
- Hiking poles are helpful
