Join us for a beautiful morning hike through CREW Bird Rookery Swamp, one of Southwest Florida’s most peaceful, wildlife-rich trail systems.
This event offers two distance options so you can choose what fits your comfort and experience level:
Distance Options
• 4 Mile Route – Moderate, scenic, and perfect for all hiking levels.
• 12-Mile Full Trail – For experienced hikers wanting the full loop and maximum wildlife viewing
Both groups will start together and split naturally at the marked point on the trail.

🌿 Trail Highlights
CREW Bird Rookery is known for its shaded pathways, elevated boardwalks, and quiet “old Florida” atmosphere. Along the way, you may see:
• Cypress domes, marshes, pine flatwoods, and swamp habitat
• Wading birds, owls, hawks, eagles, turtles, deer, and alligators
• Beautiful air plants, bromeliads, ferns, and seasonal blooms
• Long, peaceful stretches perfect for photos and nature lovers
This is one of the best wildlife-viewing preserves in Collier County.

✔️ What to Bring
• Closed-toe hiking shoes (required)
• Plenty of water (especially for the 12-mile group)
• Snacks for energy on the trail
• Sunscreen, bug spray, and a hat if needed
Important: There are no bathrooms on the trails. Please plan accordingly.
