This is such a great park to hike in and if it's hot, a dip in the Willow River Falls or the lake is certainly meant to refresh the soul and spirit.
For those interested please consider bringing a picnic lunch for after the hike. We can sit by the lake and soak our feet.
There are numerous trails in this park and some areas that are steep, so I would recommend good hiking shoes and maybe a hiking pole. There is always the option to just hike up to the falls and back, and that is a fairly flat and easy hike.
*** As always you DO NOT have to RSVP NO. ***
CAR POOLING: There is a large parking lot at the Bungalow restaurant where people can meet at. Park fee waived on this day. Normally a (Non-Res) daily pass at a Wisconsin park is $10 and a (Non-Res) annual pass, which is only good until December 31st, is $35.
DIRECTIONS TO BUNGALOW: take 94 east and then take the Stillwater exit. (This is the last exit before crossing into Wisconsin.) Go north to the very first stop light and take a right. You'll see the Bungalow right in front of you.
DIRECTIONS TO WILLOW RIVER STATE PARK: take 94 east and stay on that until you see the brown sign indicating the exit to Willow River State Park. I believe it is exit #4. Take that exit and go north. Continue to follow the signs and the park will be on your left-hand side.
