This is #3 in our series of beginning hikes. For this one we'll hike around Lake Snelling, wind our way down along the Minnesota River (if the trail isn't under water) before coming back to the parking lot. The entire length should be a little over 4 miles. The path is gravel/dirt and depending on the weather could be muddy, so please make sure you have sturdy shoes, and maybe an extra pair to change into.
After hiking and for those interested, we'll stop at Champp's on West 7th for rehydration.
A Minnesota State Park Pass is required and are available for the day ($5) or on a yearly basis ($25.)
