Come along on a local Twin Cities Hike with a twist! Join me and other OSLers on a Hyland Park Reserve Ski lift ride high atop Mt Gilboa overlooking Richardson Nature Center and Normandale Lake. Enjoy the remaining colors of Fall in the Twin Cities as we view the City Skyline. Bring your camera !!

Hike length: ~ 6.5 miles.

Hike Speed: ~3-3.5mph, with periodic stops that I am known for.

Elevation Change: TBD (1020' above sea-level)

Dogs: No, Sorry, not this Meetup Event.

Get a first hand look at what Twin Cities Ski Jumpers see - All before the first snowflakes fall !! There will be activities at the top such as Telescopes, BBQ, etc After the ride we'll choose from any of the 18 miles of Park Trails, and head off as a group. We'll hike for 2-3 hours and likely see a sunset.

We'll loop around the East side of the Park and go deep into the woods passing through a section of native Minnesota Grasslands. Passing Richardson Nature Center, we'll continue to stop-n-go as we admire the beauty of this park.

Looping Hyland Lake we'll start to head back watching the sun start to set.

The hike for 3 hours +/- and likely finish at or just into sunset.

Though We've hit a streak of just beautiful weather each year -- This meetup will be weather dependent and emphasis will be placed on Park officials canceling the Ski Lift Ride. If weather dictates a cancellation, I will cancel it on the calendar and also email the "YES" and "MAYBE" RSVPs.

Please be considerate and change your RSVP if your plans change prior to the Hike. This way someone else can take your place. If you RSVP "YES," we will be looking for you at the start. If you're not going to make it, please change your RSVP accordingly. Thank You!!
