Walking the Connecticut shoreline, summer breezes and sweet treats!

Details
I have rescheduled this walk due to rainy weather back in April. Let’s visit Connecticut, this time in the neighborhoods of East Norwalk and Calf Pasture beach. This (approximately 5 mile) walk will take us down by the beach for some lovely scenery(*however this is not a swimming and beach event). We are walking on by and through some quaint neighborhoods with lovely water views, a sculpture park and through the SONO neighborhood. Towards the end of this walk we can reward ourselves with an ice cream at the highly rated Mr. Frosty’s, a favorite of locals.
A. Getting there: From Grand Central Station, take the Metro North 9:02am (New Haven line) train, arriving 10:14am at East Norwalk station. ($25 round trip*)Return is from the South Norwalk train station. I’ll be waiting by the GCT clock before the train leaves to meet you and sign people up. If you don’t see me, just board the train and we’ll regroup once we arrive in East Norwalk.
B. Reminder that I do collect $5 from non-members of the Outdoors club. The money gets sent to the Club and helps assist us with costs.
C. Lunch: bring water for sure. Bring your own lunch, otherwise, there are food stands (like Ripka's Beach Cafe) in the Calf Pasture beach area where you can buy something. A hat and sun lotion are a good idea as well.
D. Mr. Frosty’s is a popular ice cream spot. If you would rather not wait for an ice cream, you can leave the walk earlier and it will take approximately 30 minutes to reach the South Norwalk train station using the Googlemaps on your phone.
E. Return times from South Norwalk, CT are fairly frequent: 2:33pm, 3:06pm, 3:33pm…Download the Traintime app for up to date times, tracks, and the option to pay for a ticket through your phone!
F. Weather for Sunday looks intermittently cloudy and humid. Unless it changes to steady rain all day--in which case I will announce that the walk is cancelled by Saturday afternoon. Otherwise the walk is ON.
