Finsbury Park - Abandoned Railway/Parklands Walk + (optional) Pub

With Fred's invaluable help & knowledge, this is a walk from Finsbury Park Station through parklands and the disused railway line to Alexandra Palace. We'll stop for a coffee on the way, and there are plenty of hop-off opportunities for those who prefer shorter walks.
The walk will finish mid to late afternoon. For those not wanting the pub, Alexandra Palace Station will be your best bet for the homeward journey. For those who do want some well deserved food and/or drink, we'll be doing 10 minutes extra walking to the lovely Muswell Hill Wetherspoon.
There are various ways home from the end of the walk from either Alexandra Palace or the pub. We can give you individual routes on the day.
We're be meeting at Pret a Manger next to Finsbury Park station (11am). Turn left out of the station and its a stone's throw down on the same side. You'll need the Station Place exit (N4 2DH). If you do come out the wrong exit, dont worry - just follow the block round until you see the front of the station and Pret.
We'll be leaving reasonably promptly, so don't be late.
If you haven't already paid for Nov, I ask for a nominal contribution of £2 to help cover Meetup organiser fees. No shrapnel please.

We may occasionally cross or walk short distances on roads; country and woodland tracks can be muddy or slippery; animals may be encountered on occasion.
INSURANCE: If either yourself or any guests you bring along require insurance for this walk, then you must arrange this yourselves.
GUESTS: If you are bringing any guests along, there is no facility on the Meetup site to record their details. Please ensure that you make them fully aware of the Risk Warning/Disclaimer and Insurance statements.
