K for Kincardine lets cross the Forth, Train the police, and Paddle in Moor Loch
Details
We are moving a little east from my last walk this time to just outside Clackmannanshire in west Fife near and around Kincardine. This once busy Firth of Forth river port was founded on marshland in the 17th century and today is the home of the Scottish Police College ๐ฎ๐ฎโโ๏ธ so best driving behaviour as you arrive and leave this one ๐๐.
We will cross the Forth a couple of times, visit the official start for the Fife coastal Path and spend time in the police college grounds where we will visit the Police Memorial. The woodland section in Devilla forest will use some paths from one of the groups regular Devilla routes as we head around Moor Loch. It's a circular walk back to our start point and includes scenic views over the forth valley, As always we will head off to a local cafรฉ for refreshments and delights. Itโs a low level walk on a selection of surfaces. If itโs been raining the night/days before we will have to cross some muddy sections.
Places are limited, so if you know you will be unable to make the walk, please be courteous and update your RSVP so others can attend.
