Good News! We will repeat the Scripps Pier Shoot!

We will meet at the Life Guard Tower in La Jolla Shores at 4:00p.m. and walk to Scripps Pier at 4:15p.m. sharp. Please be on time.

For those who are interested I can review basic time exposure techniques and camera settings. If you are interested in this, come early. I will do this before the shoot.

The address of the Lifeguard Tower is: 8200 Camino Del Oro, San Diego, CA 92037 There is plenty of free Parking at La Jolla Shores Park.

The plan is to meet at the Tower and then walk to an area north of Scripps Pier where there is a great view of the pier and La Jolla Village in the background. If enough people bring flashlights we can try our hand at light painting on the pier, beach and the water.

Sunset is at 4:56p.m, Civil Twilight 5:23PM and Nautical Twilight is 5:52PM. We will head back to our cars by 6:15PM or earlier

Make sure you bring your tripod, cable or remote release, warm clothing, suitable footwear and flashlight. Medium lenses, such as 24-70mm will work best, but you can also bring wide or long lenses. Lens changing is not recommended on the beach at night. Better to bring tow camera bodies.

Very important:Do not shoot by yourself, try to stay with the group or at least one other photographer. Safety is first!

Only RSVP YES if you are 100% sure you can come. Avoid changing your RSVP to NO just before the shoot. We will be noting No Shows and those who change their RSVP's shortly before the shoot. This may result in removal from the group.
