When: Sunday, December 29 at 4:00pm sharp.

Where: We will meet in front of the Star of India at the Maritime Museum of San Diego

What to expect: A great opportunity to learn about night photography and to get some beautiful images at the many choice locations along the Waterfront. We will begin by giving some basic instructions and tips for those of you who have never attempted to shoot at night and for those who want to learn more.

We will meet at the Star of India at 4:00pm and move out shortly after. Be on time. We will not wait for latecomers. We will take photos around sunset which is at 4:50p.m. (Civil Twilight is at 5:17p.m. and Nautical Twilight is at 5:48p.m.) and into the evening at different locations along the waterfront, the USS Midway, the G Street Pier, Seaport Village etc. I will move the group around fairly quickly in order to get the best shots at multiple locations. Best time for photography will be about 15-30 minutes after sunset.

At this time I expect we will shoot until about 6:30pm. We may try do some light painting, so bring a flash light.

What to bring: A tripod is a must and a cable release or remote are highly recommended. Bring your wide and fast lenses. Bring a flashlight.

Parking: There is metered parking near the Star of India and across the street. Some of it may be payable on Sunday's. Make sure you read the instructions on the parking meters and / or parking areas.

Some important announcements: Safety is first. Stay with the group. Do not wander off alone. Stay with at least one, or more members.

We are experiencing problems with members changing their RSVP's at the last moment. Please try not to do that in fairness for people on the waiting list.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact me Walter via email. If you are late or get lost my cell number is[masked]-7893. Only call if you really need to.

I'm looking forward to forward to seeing you all and a great evening out!
