Queen Califia's Magical Circle is the only American sculpture garden and the last major international project created by Niki de Saint Phalle (born France,[masked]). Inspired by California's mythic, historic and cultural roots, the garden consists of nine large-scale sculptures, a circular "snake wall" and maze entryway, sculpturally integrated bench seating, and native shrubs and trees planted within the interior plaza and along the outer perimeter. The garden bears the brilliant, unique mosaic ornamentation that is an unmistakable part of Saint Phalle's later work.
Gear: Bring what you are comfortable with. Look up the link, this is an interesting and unusual shoot. It is an artistic shoot. Come and have some fun in the morning light trying out angles and lenses. Great way to see art and light work together.
WIDE angle lens or MEDIUM zoom lens - no tripods needed
Kit Carson Park is a large park. To simplify things, we will meet at the back parking lot (at the red arrow in the map below), and walk to the site.
