This hike starts at La Jolla Shores before ascending thru Scripps Oceanography Inst. Highlights include great coastal views, beautiful homes and some history, both ancient and modern. Return route is via a rocky, rutted path to a side canyon and then to the beach. It can be slippery near the bottom, but assistance will be there if requested. You should be in moderately good shape. Moderate pace in order not to miss much. High tide is about 1:00pm, so we should be able to walk the beach back. Moderate zooms and telephotos would work.
