I have been an avid photographer for many years. I began seriously with film photography in 1973, learning to develop film and print photos. I went digital in 2004. I have been a meetup.com member since 2005 and have been organizing photo shoots in San Diego since 2006. I am also a bibliophile who enjoys cooking, travel, hiking, swimming, classical music, a wide variety of art and I am very good at taking naps.
I specialize in architectural photography, both exterior and interior. I am NPPA, NPS, PPA and PPC member. I also enjoy landscape, macro, nature, night, portrait, travel, event and wildlife photography. One aspect of PPS I really enjoy is the variety of different photography we do.
Nikon D700 & D300, 10.5 f/2.8 Fisheye, 28 f/2.8, 50 f/1.8, 85 f/1.8, 90 f/2.8, 135 f/2.8, 180 f/3.5 , 12-24 f/4, 14-24 f/2.8, 18-55 f/[masked],[masked] f/[masked], 24-70 f/2.8,[masked] f/2.8,[masked]VR f/[masked],[masked] f/[masked] + TSB-600, SB-800 x2 Speedlights...etc...
To meet fellow photographers, help them improve their photographic skills, continue to to improve my own photography, and to have a lot of fun in the process. It is my aim to provide a productive, relaxed and enjoyable environment for all PPS members. If any members have suggestions for photo shoots or other events, please contact me. If we can do anything better, contact me.
Just about anywhere!
I am happy to have founded PPS based on the feedback and interest I have had with the Photo Shoots and Work Shops I have organized in the last ten years. I would like to extend a big welcome to all who join the Pacific Photographic Society!
