Meet & Greet: Meet the Nominees

Elections for our[masked] Organizational board will occur over the next month, this board is responsible for putting on our local Pagan Pride Day, fundraisers, and other events.

The process will begin with open nominations between 3/9/13 and 4/1/13. Each person will be able to nominate up to 3 individuals, including yourself. Nominations will be accepted by Facebook comment, email, and phone message. A Facebook event will be created on the East Tennessee Wyrdoes page named “Nominations.” You can email your nominations to [masked] or call[masked] and leaving a voice message.

When you submit your nominations, we need the individuals name and a contact method. This is because each of the nominees will be contacted between April 2 and 5th to confirm they wish to commit to the time service on the board and/or as an officer of the board. This will include having a copy of the Bylaws being forwarded to them for review. The nominees that wish to be considered for election WILL attend the April 12th meetup.

Between April 13th and April 20th the voting for the board will occur by FB poll, email or phone call again.

The elected board members will meet after the election to internally select the officers of the board.

    I'm sorry you had expectations that varied from how this event is actually structured. Those of us who attend regularly are fairly used to the setup.
    The Meet and Greet's function and focus is to allow individuals - both new and established - to connect socially. The "presentation" portion (if something is scheduled) often will start between 7:30-8:00. This allows everyone an opportunity to eat as well as allowing for those those who work late to arrive, greet others, and get settled in.
    We began about 8 which put this meetup pretty much within the norm. See you next month. :)
