Gal-bi is Korean BBQ and I am having the event at the best Gal-bi place in the greater Philadelphia area which is Kim's BBQ. Here is what Kim's has to say about themselves," We are the only restaurant in Philadelphia that uses 100% Natural Hardwood charcoal for our BBQ, NO GAS! Using 100% Hardwood charcoal is very expensive and involves much more work but we do this because the meats just taste better and we want our customers to have the real authentic smoky Korean BBQ experience." Here is what I have to say about it being a long time customer of Kim's, "Their food is of first quality and large quantity". They heap the meat on the platters, which you BBQ yourself on the coals. There are more relish dishes than you can taste and a never ending supply of red-leaf lettuce to wrap the food in. It is as much entertainment as it is a meal! A little more info. After you select your relish and cook the meat you place it on a leaf and roll it up into a kind of taco. The meat selection is wide including multiple types of beef, pork, squid, chicken, etc. Full Bar service is available. There are 6 people to a table and they can deal with as many people as we want as long as I call in advance and warn them. Expect to spend $35 for food plus tip.
