What we're about

You snap at your kids, then you beat yourself up for it. You feel like a failure as a parent. You swear you won’t make the mistakes your parents made, or that you have made in the past – but under pressure, you mess up. Should you use more discipline? Be meaner? Nicer? Why do your kids hate you sometimes? They don’t follow directions well. Sometimes they can’t focus when they study. You are trying to do everything – cooking, earning a living, helping with homework, trying to be a good example, and you neglect yourself, so it all falls apart at the seams.

Your kids didn’t come with an owner’s manual. And after all, each one has his or her own unique personality and outlook on life. You don’t want to squash that. But managing a household can make the zoo, a jungle, or a battle ground, look like calm, serene places compared to your home.If you’re a single parent doing it all alone, you can get stretched thin. If you’re a couple, the turmoil of parenting can put a strain on romance. Our purpose is to add to your parental tool kit with insights to help you through this.

Our mentor is a down-to-earth but successful parent of accomplished, successful kids. While he’ll be the first to tell you that he’s not perfect, he will share some insights that may save you from heartbreaks and grey hairs. At our weekly meetups, we’ll cover information to help with:

* Anxiety from parenting.

* Snapping at kids and then regretting it.

* Broken homes.

* When your kids say they hate you.

* Falling apart at the seams? How to establish balance.

* Putting everyone else first & neglecting you.

* Depression from parenting or other causes.

* When you beat yourself up.

* Kids making the wrong friends.

* Kids who run in circles and scream.

* Single parenting.

*Dating as a single mom or single dad.

*When you feel like you can’t take it anymore.

It has been said before that raising kids is not a walk in the park. We believe it doesn’t have to be a nightmare either. Someone brave enough to raise kids should be helped and supported.
