Parenting is such an amazing adventure! In this informal group, we will explore and talk about challenges, opportunities, and discoveries along the way. Our aim is to offer you parenting tips, strategies,and ideas you can implement immediately. For now, ALL presentations are online via Zoom. Topics may include:
• Bullying/cyberbullying
• Helping children and siblings build friendships \

• Co-Parenting as a team (married or separated)
• Internet Safety and Parenting in the Digital Age
• Building Self-esteem in our Children \

Parenting Enrichment! will cover topics relevant to parents of preschoolers through children in middle/high school. ALL parents --- single /sole, coupled, separated, divorced, married, LGBTQ, foster, grandparents are WELCOME!
About the Organizer: Richard Halpern has over 30 years experience advising parents on how to positively manage their children's behavior while promoting self-esteem and healthy choices. He was a Parent Educator for Multnomah Family Court for 8+ years, previously he spent 20+ years in public education and family services.  He also meets one on one with parents and couples to develop positive strategies to deal with challenging behavior as co-parents.

Most importantly, he has "been there" parenting and positively co-parenting his two (now grown) kiddos as a married, then divorced dad. He earned a Masters Degree in Counseling and is certified to teach Nurturing Parenting and Positive Discipline curriculum. He is also a certified Trauma Coach.
