Hike and seek (formally called Daffodil Hill Hike) -Lakeview Cemetery
Details
UPDATE FROM LAKEVIEW-
The bloom cycle for the daffodils seem to have come to an end. There will be some, but not the beautiful display from years
past. New bulbs will be planted this year.
IMPORTANT IF YOU DRIVE THERE, YOU CAN PARK ON THE ROAD, BUT ABSOLUTELY NO TIRES ON THE GRASS!
It's been a long cold winter and we need to get out get some Viatmin D. Burn a calorie while hiking and appreciating the beauty of Lakeview Cemetery. We will hike 4 -7 miles visiting Daffodil Hill, Wade Chapel, Garfield Monument, Michael Stanley, Alan Freed, Harvey Pekar, Rockefeller and others. We will also be looking for the dam.
*After the hike, we can leave the cars where they are and walk down the hill in Little Italy for a 'treat', then to burn off some of those calories, walk back up the hill!
Wear sturdy comfortable shoes. We will be going up some hills. Maybe bring some water.
If you take the rapid, you can get off at Little Italy and walk up a long hill to get in from Mayfield Road.
