What is it?

The premise is simple, gather up those awful woolly sweaters you have hiding in your closet and wear them with pride as you mix and mingle with your new meetup friends at our 2012 Ugly Christmas Sweaters party. No need to worry—everyone else will be looking ridiculous too!

What's that? You don’t have anything ugly in your closet. I know, I have that very same problem. Ha! Ah, don't you worry, Goodwill is a great place to find yourself the winning sweater REALLY REALLY cheap ($4 or so). Yup, you heard me right, I said winning sweater! There will be a prize awarded to the person wearing the absolutely ugliest sweater you have ever seen, and you will of course have an opportunity to help us pick the winner by voting :-)

General admission is $0.00 and everyone will be responsible for their individual purchases made at the bar. We are however asking everyone to bring a new unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots. More about this below.

Free Drink included

Yup, how awesome is that? Since this is also a charity event, Mas has also graciously offered to throw in a free drink on them (Yuengling or Gringo Rita). This offer is however ONLY valid if you bring a new unwrapped toy with you to the event.

More about Toys for Tots

The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.

Q: What ages are supported by Toys for Tots? Most campaign sites are able to assist children up to age 12, but in many local communities, local support is such that the age limit may be extended to 14-16.

Q: Is there a list of toys available to guide me with my donation? Toys for Tots does not publish a list of appropriate toys to donate. If such a list were created, most would follow it, resulting in a limited selection of items to distribute in each community. We would rather our donors consider what might be an appropriate gift for their own child/relative, purchase the item, and donate to Toys for Tots.

Below you will find pictures from ugly sweater parties to help with your selection (check out the guy in the varsity cheerleader sweater. Ha!)

We are truly looking forward to this event and kicking off the holiday festivities with you. We hope to see you there :-)

NOTE: Since this is a charity event, we are waiving the $1 meetup fee.

Directions & Parking:
On the night of our ugly sweater party there will also be a holiday parade in West Chester and consequently a few road blocks as well.

As such, I was advised by Mas personnel to advise everyone to use Rt202 to Paoli Pike into West Chester. There are a lot of one way roads into West Chester, this one is the most direct to the parking garage.
1)Rt 202S to Paoli Pike exit (this will turn into Gay St).
2)Stay on the 2nd lane from the left, this will bear right onto Matlack St. Keep to your far left,
3)Turn left onto E Chestnut Street. The parking garage is about 1.5 blocks down on your left hand side across from the YMCA (Garage address is: 14 East Chestnut Street, West Chester).

Mas Mexicali Cantina is located on Market and Walnut (walk 3 blocks to Market St.).
