First I never played in the NFL.  Just for a Team (UAB) that had just gone to a 1A schedule the year I had to stop playing at university.
But I know people in the NFL and have read a few articles from others this last week.
Stealing signals?  Yes.  Where ever we can.
You have to if you want to win.  The other team is also doing everything it can to do the same and prevent you from stealing theirs.
Every coach keeps a book on teams, coaches and players they run into.  Just like in baseball where pitchers know batters tendencies by studying them and so does the hitters.
Ever heard the expression watching film?  What do you think that means?  They are studying opposing teams and how they play down to how a coach reacts on the sidelines for individual situations.
Ever wonder why Belichick is so stone faced during a game?  He knows who is watching.
Did he knowingly try to get around a badly written rule?  Yes.  And got burned for it.
Remember the Tuck Rule?  We got the good end of that one.
But the most important thing here just like the tuck rule is that both opposing teams after that play or after that camera was taken away had TONS of opportunity in those games to keep us from winning and they didn't.
It is not cheating to study your opponent.  It is cheating to use a camera from your sidelines to do it.  Any other camera just about is fine as others have pointed out.
We will lose a draft pick in the first round because we will win the Superbowl because we have the best trained team in the NFL.
'Nuff said.
