Attention experienced riders of PPSG, please join me for a superb new trail perspective in the heavily wooded corridor along the Deschutes river, roughly from Lava Island to the Slough section. This will be a true multi surface bike ride covering paved path, mild singletrack, gravel road, rail trail, and double track. We will start at Rimrock TH and ride up the path to the Ranger station, then we'll head south into the vast network of dirt/gravel roads and trails and end up at the Slough day use area for a snack break. We will then retrace our path back to Rimrock and hit The Lot for a much-deserved post ride lunch (optional). This ride will not come in contact with the river trail we all know and love, it just runs roughly parallel to it, and it will be 17 miles round trip.

Please make sure you're experienced, fit, and confident enough to ride this distance on rolling dirt trails, gravel roads, and mild-ish singletrack, and that your bike is FULLY functional, reliable (drivetrain, brakes, pumped up tires, proper saddle, etc), and has proper knobby tires for these off road surfaces. A proper mountain bike, cyclocross bike, or gravel bike are the ONLY options for this ride, (NO road bikes, hybrids, fitness bikes, or Walmart bikes please. DM me if you have any questions about this). Class 1 electric MTB's are ok. Please have sufficient water (I recommend 2 large bottles or a Camelback), spare tube or kit, and snacks too.
