Shevlin Park is a haven located less than three miles from Bend and a perfect location for hiking, jogging, fishing, cross-country skiing, and picnicking. It is an extensive trail and pathway system providing for both summer and winter uses.
You will travel through aspen and ponderosa pine. You can catch views of Tumalo Creek in the canyon below.
Highlights include scenic views, well-maintained paths, and good shade for hot days. Challenges noted are uneven rocky sections and occasional mud. Recommendations include starting early and bringing trekking poles.
