Enjoy this 4.4-mile loop trail near Bend, Oregon. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1 h 24 min to complete. This is a very popular area for running and walking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. A ridge climb tops the Deschutes River Trail. There are paved riverbank walks along some of the trails. Along the walk, ducks, squirrels, and beavers are frequently spotted. Rock climbers may even be visible, bouldering along the coast. You'll be rewarded into the area's past along the Old Mill Reach. This park is the remnant of the logging industry, which once produced board feet of lumber from two mills, ushering in the region's industrial heyday
