To run faster, you need to train faster.

Doing interval training is the first step, however it is difficult to do them alone. Why not join in with others and be coached through your weekly interval session.

We are a bunch of friendly people from all corners of the globe with the class taught in English. This is a group for all levels from complete beginners to speedy runners. Most of our participants, were they to run a 10K, would finish between 45-75 minutes. Some compete in 10k's, half marathons, and marathons but many run for fun, come to the sessions to get fit, or simply for the warm atmosphere of the group.

We meet on;

Monday night 18:30-19:30 or 19:30-20:30 for Running Intervals

Tuesday morning at 07:15-8:00 for Strength & Conditioning

Wednesday night at 18:30-19:30 for Strength & Conditioning

Wednesday night at 19:30-20:30 for Running Intervals

Thursday morning at 07:15-8:00 for Running Intervals

Thursday night at 18:30-19:30 for Running Intervals

Thursday night at 19:30-20:30 for Strength & Conditioning

Saturday morning at 10:00-11:00 for Running Intervals

All running interval sessions are held at Parque Barceloneta next to Barceloneta Beach and Hospital Del Mar. We meet next to the Simon Bolivar statue. The Strength & Conditioning classes take place either in Park Barceloneta or across the road from the park on Playa Barceloneta. Please check with Alan for the location of this class.

The sessions are fun and varied, and you don't need to 'get fit' to attend your first one.

Strength & Conditioning for runners (and other sports 🏋💪💪)

Aiming to prevent injury by strengthening those weak muscles and stretching those problem areas. This will be hugely beneficial to our runners all of whom who should do some strength and conditioning work at least once a week. By coming along to class you get to do this under the instruction of a experienced coach and in the company of your friends from running intervals. • Where is it? - The class takes place in Park Barceloneta where our running classes take place. My name is Alan Urquhart and I am from Scotland. I am a Level 4 Advanced Personal Trainer and I have been in the health and fitness industry for 21 years. For 13 years I was a runner, taking part in road, hill, cross country, and track, in distances from 1 mile to marathon.
