COMBINED hacknights! NodeBots & Code & Learn join forces

  • Apr 17, 2014 · 6:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

We've combined our informal NodeBots hardware hacknight with our monthly Code & Learn formerly at Side Door.

Bring your ideas! Bring your hardware! We'll be providing hardware kits on loan at the event for experimenting. We're meeting to work on projects and talk about all things NodeJS.

Newbies welcome! Say hi and ask questions.

Learned lots at the Code & Learn tonight. It was helpful to hear about other Node.js frameworks that people have explored.

    Howdy!

I've been talking with the PDXnode crew to bring a little treat from ^lift security to the Node Community in Portland. As some of you may know, we are bringing the first Node.js Secure Training Development into Portland, this April 30. It is focused on forging best practices around the development of Express and/or Hapijs applications, in order to produce more secure code. You can find the full syllabus and description here: https://liftsecurity.io/training

Portland has been such a great community that we are proud to be part of and we just can't stop thinking in ways to contribute more. We would love to have more people present and taking advantage of the training. One of the things we want to give you access to a special 'Friends of PDXnode' ticket with a very very discounted price that you will be able to grab during today's hacknight. Grab yours now:

During the hacknight April 17, I would like to pair with anybody who has used kraken or modules it uses [express, dust, mocha] for building web apps. I have also started experimenting with underscore.js for functional patterns of list processing.
