Yep, it is Mother's Day, so maybe this one won't be so popular but hopefully still attract a goodly number to this mecca of walking in the heart of the Peak District National Park.
There are always hills in the Peak District but this walk is steady rather than fierce and is a good introduction to the delights of this popular starting point beloved of walkers, mountain bikers and climbers. Those arriving early will probably congregate in the (upstairs) cafe at the Outside shop for a giant mug of tea and a bacon roll but the actual meet point for 10:15am departure is by the car park (please DO NOT park here) of the Little John Pub / Hotel on Station Road, Hathersage.
There is a well sign posted main P & D car park in Hathersage but also still some street parking around and about as long as your are prepared to do a little walking to and from the meet point.
