Sorry everyone this walk is being moved to an alternative date in the future. This strenuous walk was devised by The friends of The Peak District as a charity challenge walk. It really is a magnificent walk visiting many of the most beautiful locations in the Peak District, some familiar and others not so. We will visit Castern Hall, Ilam Hall, Dovedale,Tissington Trail, Biggin Dale, Wolfscote Dale and the Manifold valley. It’s definitely one not to miss.
Facilities - There are WC’s at the Start and at 11.00 am (20p charge). There are hot drinks available at 11am but no further facilities until the finish where there is a pub serving food if required. It is essential therefore that you take adequate food, water and sun protection for a long day.
The walk will be 21miles with almost 5000ft. of assent. To complete it in the time you need to be comfortable with walking this distance at a good pace.
