Please acknowledge that you will give real consideration to the following questions. We are a group of writers that are serious about establishing writing goals and actively working toward those goals and we are seeking more of the same.

No answer yet

What genres do you like? Who are your favorite writers?

I enjoy a variety of fiction novels and short stories, any treatment with social, cultural irony always gets my attention. I love, non-fiction, essays, and witty one-liners. I am fascinated with the writing process. My favorite writers are Augustine, Swift, Flaubert, Tocqueville, Palahniuk, King, and Calvino to name a few.

Have you chosen a particular format? Novel, Short story, poetry, etc. Please elaborate.

I enjoy the short story, but have trouble developing depth, so what I originally approached as a short story sometimes expands into the novel. And it remains just as unfinished as before.

If you could write your short bio on a book jacket , what would it say?

At 36, Kent discovered his love for stories. Realizing he was always creating stories from his experiences, giving them alternate endings, asking and posing "what ifs" all the time, he started to recognize manuscripts, scattered manuscripts forming in his head. After several years of trial and error, he has now written one down.

What Kent S. is saying about this Meetup Group

Christina has so much insight into the craft. 1000 words is not enough to do her justice. If you're writing now, considering writing, or have a vague idea you think might just work as a peice of literary art, whether it's poetry, a short story, or a novel, this group is well organized, focused, and Christina is honed in on helping you complete your story. To do this group justice, all I can say is come out and see for yourself.
