Please acknowledge that you will give real consideration to the following questions. We are a group of writers that are serious about establishing writing goals and actively working toward those goals and we are seeking more of the same.

What genres do you like? Who are your favorite writers?

Non-fiction. Larry Crabb, John Ortberg

Have you chosen a particular genre? Format? Please elaborate: (I write short story horror, poety, romance novels, etc)

I would like to focus on an inspirational, non-fiction work that provides hope for others.

If you could write your short bio on a book jacket, what would it say?

Gary pursued the "American Dream" with a great determination and realized blessings beyond his greatest childhood expectations. However, that superficial world came crashing down when his younger son Nathan took his life in May 2000. The self-delusion of controlling one's destiny came to an abrupt end leaving Gary searching for his true purpose. Nathan's tragic death opened doors for Gary and his wife Elvira to pursue paths in life that they could have never anticipated. Their story is not any more special than that of any other person but they hope that their journey can provide hope and inspiration for others.

We ask that you read and acknowledge that you understand RULES OF THE ROAD (Posted under 'pages'). Also, sign up here at to receive writing tips and news from PenPaperWrite.

After "escaping" from Indiana, I studied engineering and, for the next 28 years, worked for DuPont. In 2000, after losing our son to suicide, I left that life and obtained my masters in counseling. Since 2006, I have been in full-time counseling.
