What type and size of oaks do you need? I have access to water and white oak, ( I think thats what they are). Do you need them cut into a particular size, 18", 24" 36" etc? Please let me know what are the appropriate types of oak for cultivating mushrooms. Thank you, Anne Neeb[masked], or email me here, at [address removed].

Hi Everyone!

I'd like to schedule a meetup for September.  I'm excited about the mushroom cultivation workshop.  I have 1,000 shiitake inoculated dowel plugs.  We just need[masked]' logs of oak, sweet gum, alder, ash, chestnut, eucalyptus, beech, hickory, or some other wood consistent with shiitake cultivation, and a pound of beeswax or soy wax.  Please let me know if you've got an idea for a source!

Feel free to contact me or to post ideas and venues for meetups on the site.  And always feel free to cross-promote our events with other networks of folks interested in sustainability, gardening, etc., and to share events that might be of interest.

Cheers,

Joseph
