What book would you recommend for H&WR?

'Infinite Jest' by David Foster Wallace (well, okay, that one's like a million pages but I'm feeling ambitious...)

What's your favorite book?

'Middlesex' by Jeffrey Eugenides

What book do you love but you're afraid to admit it?

I read some decidedly not-hip books for a living...but I'm not ashamed of it, either! I'm rummaging through my shelves and don't see anything that I'm ashamed of. Not even Dr. Seuss.

Introduction

Sounds like my kind of group -- I love to read b-list books (no Oprah favorites here) and discuss them with other like-minded people...

What Carrie is saying about this Meetup Group

Great mix of people and interesting discussion of current books!
