Dear Philly Tech Meetup:

Are you a technologist interested in developing interesting solutions to community challenges while mentoring new technologists? The Urban Technology Project, a nonprofit I.T. workforce development program that trains Philly high school graduates and GED earners to support the technology infrastructure of Philadelphia schools while supporting digital inclusion initiatives, is organizing a one day hackathon on July 20th called MentorHacks! We're looking for GIS and web developers to attend the event and that could be you!

MentorHacks is a one day community codefest and skillshare framed around creating a space for experienced and inexperienced technologists to attend workshops on technology and mentorship and then collaborate and create projects based on a survey of the community and its needs.

We’re looking to support a diverse, fun space that supports technologists at all levels in creating inelegant solutions to community challenges. Our community challenges are web development and GIS mapping challenges sourced from local community nonprofits!

We'd love to have you attend and address community challenges with us so register today!
