Hi all,

A thread on the PANMA mailing list has rekindled an event idea I had
last fall -- a
hands-on review of the tools working-class developers use every day,
from text editors to file utilities to debuggers, IDEs and version
control.  So many people in this community find themselves doing
development who never really encountered the kind of sophisticated
tools that "software engineers" take for granted and rely on.  It
would be neat to introduce folks to a more advanced development

As I'm wont to do, I put together a survey to gauge interest.   If
