Mike- I am not opposed to taking over the reins of the PhillyPUG. However, in a slightly more democratic fashion, perhaps we should try to have a Sept. meet-up (no formal presentation necessary) where we can discuss in an open forum the goals of the group and deal with governance issues at that time. Then, if you are still interested in passing on the reins, at that point we can formally hand over the leadership to the "elected party". Just a suggestion ... as there may be someone who is silently lurking on the list right now who is the perfect BDFL for our group, but we just don't know that yet.

To hold such a meeting where we simply discuss goals, get to know one another, and set up governance, we could probably just meet at a pub in the city that could accommodate us if we are not in a position to secure a meeting room by then.
