Can anyone tell me what you talked about at the meeting?  If you don't want to tell me (and the group), please email me at [address removed].   I would be very grateful to hear from any or all who attended.  Hopefully, the meeting will change back to a Tuesday night.

Thanks,

Susan

Subject: [philosophy-211] Philosophy Topic for January

Greetings!

I have moved the January meetup BACK to Monday (the 25th). It's still at 19th & Chestnut, Phila.

This meetup will be from 7pm to 8:20 (Starbucks closes at 8:30).

This month's topic: "Turn the other cheek?". Is this famous but mostly ignored biblical advice a good idea? Is it do-able? Is it only sometimes a good idea, and if so, when and when not? The philosophy of the use of force from the scale of the personal level on up the scale to groups and nations!

All levels of philosophical knowledge are invited.

Sincerely,
Gene Pozniak, Organizer
