Austin Philosophy Discussion Group Saturday Breakfast Club

Hello, fellow philosopher,

I'd like to let you know that the Saturday Breakfast Club of the Austin Philosophy Discussion Club (APDG) has returned to the tradition of general philosophical topics for the everyday philosopher. Of course, we also welcome those who may be more well-read in the topic, who often help us with additional background and perspective. The discussions will be moderated and all are encouraged to participate as they feel comfortable.

The new series is "Philosophy as a Guide to Living," which addresses the following questions:

? Is there a meaning to human life?
? Can this question be answered by philosophy?
? If so, could any positive answer be pursued through the practice of philosophy itself?

The lecture series consists of mostly European (Continental) philosophers who have reflected on these questions from the time of the Enlightment to the present.

If you've been away for a while and would like to check out the group again, please consider this Saturday or one in the next few weeks. I think you'll like it. As always, no advance reading or preparation is required, and there is no fee.

We hope to see you soon!
