Nietzsche is perhaps the best-known and most often quoted philospher of the last two centuries. He is also probably the most misunderstood, the most misquoted, the most maligned. According the the presenters of our course, the truth is that Nietzsche was and still is the most deeply insightful, personally radical, complex philosopher of modern times. In these 24/ 30 minute lectures we will explore the philosophy of this complex individual. Our presenters are Professors Kathleen Higgins (UT Austin) and Professor Robert Solomon (deceased). Both have received recognition as Nietzsche scholars. We will watch two lectures with discussion after each lecture. Meet and greet is at 7:00 and lectures start at 7:30 sharp.

Lecture One: Why read Nietzsche?
Lecture Two: Quashing the Rumors about Nietzsche
