Announcing a new Meetup for Austin Philosophy Discussion Group (APDG)!

What: Will to Power: Friedrich Nietzsche (Lectures 9 & 10)

When: Saturday, March 13,[masked]:00 AM

Austin Recreation Center
1301 Shoal Creek
Austin, TX 78701

Nietzsche is perhaps the best-known and most often quoted philospher of the last two centuries. He is also probably the most misunderstood, the most misquoted, the most maligned. According the the presenters of our course, the truth is that Nietzsche was and still is the most deeply insightful, personally radical, complex philosopher of modern times. In these 24/ 30 minute lectures we will explore the philosophy of this complex individual. Our presenters are Professors Kathleen Higgins (UT Austin) and Professor Robert Solomon (deceased). Both have received recognition as Nietzsche scholars. We will watch two lectures and engage in group discussion after these lectures.

Lecture 9: Nietzsche on Reason, Instinct and Passion
Lecture 10: Netzsche's Style and the Problem of Truth
