Aristotle's Doctrine of the Mean - Talk and Discussion

  • Aug 3, 2014 · 1:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Our Philosophy meeting here in the Laguna-Woods/Irvine neighborhood of Orange County invites you to hear Charles Young give a talk about "Aristotle (and a bit of Plato, too) on Virtue and the Virtues," and will embrace some larger themes relating to virtue that emerged during the discussion of "Aristotle's Grace" at the last meeting.

Here in the Village Green Golf building we have reserved a room with a view of the green where you can enjoy his presentation, which lasts for about 30 to 40 minutes, and then join in an informal discussion of the topic.

As professor of Logic and Greek at Claremont, Dr. Young is known as an expert in ancient Greek philosophers.

Some of you didn't get to the meeting because you were directed to Clubhouse 2, the large building on top of the hill, where you waited for the meeting to start. At the same time you were waiting, 22 of us were in the golf building below the hill enjoying a really good meeting and discussion. My words cannot adequately express how sorry I am that this happened. After two days I was finally able to fix the gate clearance system, but I have yet to be able to fix the meetup website.

It cost nothing to attend the philosophy meetup except your time.

I don't see a cost for attending indicated here. Please let me know in advance what the cost is if any.
    Thanks,
    Jared

I'm pretty sure it's free, Jared.
